HyFlex Model
What is the HyFlex Model?
The HyFlex Model in education represents a hybrid approach to classroom instruction. In this model, each class is presented in both online and in-person formats, offering flexibility to students and their families. Students who are able to physically attend classes can do so in person. For students facing challenges such as health concerns, a compromised immune system, exposure to COVID-19, or illness, they have the option to attend the same class online.
The teacher conducts the class in a traditional in-person setting while also accommodating online students by addressing their needs. Both groups of students complete similar assignments, and crucially, students and parents have the freedom to choose their preferred educational style. This choice can be made not just once for the entire semester but on a day-to-day basis. The HyFlex Model is available for students 3rd-12th grade.
