Why do we host an Annual Firebird Gala?
The Annual Firebird Gala is one of the most exciting events of the year. It will take place on April 5th, at the Renaissance Hotel in Palm Springs. This evening of dining, dancing, and auctioneering is the one time that all of our parents gather to celebrate the community they have built. You can and should invite your friends and other family members to this event (Yes, grandparents and your neighbors are welcome to attend!). Palm Valley is a unique independent private school, and our approach to individualized education is worth sharing with our larger community.
Many families own businesses or have connections to local businesses, who donate goods and services for us to auction off during our silent auction. Each purchase goes directly to our Gala Fund, which is dedicated to campus improvements and often has a long-term capital improvement goal. Recent projects funded from the Gala include a new Massive Shade Structure at Lower School, The Nest, and our branded Sports Van.

Palm Valley Private School occupies 34 acres in Rancho Mirage with stunning mountain views. The campus features separate campuses and buildings for each of our four divisions – Preschool (ages 18 months to 5), Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12), along with a full-size gymnasium, several separate recesses and athletic fields, a black box theater and smart lab.
